Few Things you need to know about EPF Claim:

EPF Online Withdrawal

There are two types of PF claim. One is EPF advance claim and the other one is the final EPF claim. You can claim both of these PF claims by online or offline means. By going to the EPF member portal, you can claim this online, and regarding the offline claim, you need to fill up the EPF claim form. You can learn the withdrawal process first by visiting links below,

PF Offline Withdrawal

After January 2017, All offline withdrawal has been stopped. This option is only available for those who left the service before UAN portal was started. Those members who are facing issue in online withdrawal can also try offline form with written application attached.

There are two forms that come under the claim. One is EPF claim Aadhar and EPF claim Non-Aadhar.

When to fill PF Claim AADHAR form?

If you have submitted your Aadhar card including KYC details, then you need to fill up the PF claim Aadhar form as you do not require the signature of your employer in this particular form.

When to fill PF Claim non AADHAR form?

In case, you have not submitted your KYC details, then you need to fill up the Non-Aadhar claim form attaching the copy of passbook, Aadhar card, and PAN card along with it. Apart from these details, you also need to attest the form from your employer.

Documents to be attached with PF offline claim form

  • Claim form
  • Application with reasons – Why applying offline
  • AADHAR Card
  • PAN Card ( Compulsory for 50000+ amount )

Keep one photocopy of all the documents extra. Once you submit do not forget to take a receiving seal on photocopy as a proof of submission.

Advance Refund and Full and Final Settlement:

If you are not within your service period and your date of exit is not marked under the PF member portal, you cannot opt for the advance refund. The reason behind this fact is that your exit date is not marked under the member portal. To get access to that, you need to let your employer mark the exit date after leaving your job.

Now comes the case when your exit date is not marked genuinely as you are within your service period.  In this case, for obtaining the advance claim you need to follow a lot of rules and regulations so that your advance claim does not get rejected in this particular case.

However, if you have resigned from your company and it has been almost two months, then, in this case, you can obtain your full and final settlement. In this case, if your employer has already marked your exit date, then you can see two forms in the member portal of PF that is the Form 10C and Form 19 which you can fill online. But, if you want to carry out the procedure by offline means, there will be only one single page form which you need to fill up. This particular form can help you in the case of your advance claim, PF and pension.

What do you need to know about your PF status?

Generally, you are entitled to get your money within 7 to 10 days in this case. But, in some cases, it is seen that people get their money even after 1 or 2 months. In such cases, you need to be patient as the PF department works like a government department where some processes become slow during their execution. You can check your online claim status from time to time during this period.

How to check your EPF claim status online?

Once you check your status, you will see one of the three cases.

  • A person who has no pending claim
  • A person whose Form 10C and Form 19 are approved
  • Person whose one claim or both is/ are rejected among the two above forms

No Pending Claim:

In this case, first, you need to choose your member ID as per your UAN and Establishment. Then you need to click the view claim status. In No pending claim case, it will show that no claim is found for this PF member ID. The reason behind this case might be a lost PF form or any kind of error in the particular PF form.
